About Us
We are a dinner theatre company specialising in murder nights and work on three levels:
The first is in the commercial field where hotels and other social venues book us for their clients and members and have a good time playing cludeo with a Carry on attitude attached to it.
The second is for charities to raise money from our events, allowing time to buy raffle tickets and have an auction allowing the participants to give a s much money as possible whilst having a good time.
The third way is in training for the corporate market. Working closely with the company we ask what their needs are and how we can assist, whether that is in staff morale and relieving stress and anxiety, or concentrating on team building, communication and social skills, persuasive and confidence building.
From this we give a questionnaire to establish how effective we have been and how this relates to the work place through play and entertainment.
The Beginning
Over 25 years of running Sudden Death after working for other companies and being disillusioned at the standard and practices used in them.
Background qualifications - An active member of the Wirral Youth Theatre, taking part in many shows, before going to Bretton Hall in West Yorkshire to study a degree and Post Grad Cert Ed, before returning to the youth theatre as a member of staff. Studies for a Masters at JMU and then taught English as a foreign language and did extra work for TV and films. Met an old friend who was helping set up a murder mystery company and they asked me to help.
I worked with a few other companies for 10 years before setting up Sudden Death and have been running ever since.
All of our scripts are written by our writers for us.
We allow people to talk without their mobile phones
We are inter-active and exclusive, limiting the number of participants so it remains personal to that group.
